Marketing Analytics Intern

CTP is looking for an intern who is interested in the quantitative aspects of marketing.  The Analytics team is in charge of setting, measuring, and evaluating marketing goals for clients in a variety of marketing areas such as digital marketing, paid media, web experiences, CRM, and earned media.  As an intern, you will assist the Analytics team in solving real client problems while learning data management, applied analytical methodologies, and interacting with a variety of digital marketing systems.

Project Background

The Analytics Intern will be tasked with assisting the department in a number of different responsibilities focused around data management, dashboard reporting maintenance as well as being introduced to a number of different systems including Google Data Studio, Google Analytics, Double Click Campaign Manager. We are looking for candidates with a strong analytical background and education, as well as Excel proficiency. Degrees in business and data science are preferred. Experience with Tableau, R, and SQL is preferred.  This role will have a workload of roughly 10-15 hours per week.


  • Maintain up-to-date data on managed data sheets for connection to client facing Google Data Studio dashboard reports.
  • QA media campaigns ensure KPI actions are being recorded as intended. Including systems such as Google Campaign Manager, Google Ads, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. KPI’s will include web visits, site actions/conversions, UTM labeled traffic and appropriate pixel fires.
  • Assist with evaluating web traffic from paid media campaigns via Google Analytics.
  • Assess tactical media performance utilizing front end performance numbers (spend, clicks, impressions, CTR, CPC). Focus on this analysis will include creative A/B testing, targeting/audience evaluation, ad type, and channel performance.
  • Actualize and amend data models as needed to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Assist in campaign tagged URL (UTM) creation for tracking needs.
  • Simplistic data modeling and QA
  • Help with marketing operations and data capture support with web and media analysis tasks


  • 10-15 hours per week

Must be authorized to work in the United States.  This is a part-time internship.  Our interns receive an hourly wage and possible academic credit, and must be available 10-15 hours per week.
