Analytics Director

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Analytics lead on multiple client projects and relationships, collaborating with cross-discipline leaders, connecting with multiple client stakeholders, and participating in new business pitches
  • Execute multiple forms of marketing and business analysis, leveraging a range of data sets, technologies, and statistical methodologies to arrive at meaningful insights and recommendations
  • Develop and manage a team of analysts, ensuring the successful completion of projects while continually fostering skill set growth

 

A Day in the Life…

  • Analyze the latest real-time performance of campaigns, communicating progress relative to forecasts to key stakeholders, including ideas for optimization and experimentation
  • Join a new business call, explaining CTP’s outcomes-driven process, through interactive workshops as well as through visualized concepts and case study examples
  • Guide a client early in the campaign development process as to what they should focus their analytics efforts on, from sharing a sound business case to introducing new analytics solutions that maximize insight and learning potential
  • Brainstorm with CTP colleagues to craft a high-impact content experience across multiple brand touchpoints, leveraging data to inform decision making
  • Meet with analysts to problem-solve, collaborate on applying concepts, evaluate performance results together, and guide them towards client and project growth opportunities
  • Advance the development of a new, cutting-edge practice offering that can be leveraged as a valued service for our clients

 

Desired Skills & Background

  • Bachelors and/or Master’s degree in Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Business or Finance
  • 7+ years of professional experience in marketing or business analytics-related functions, whether in an agency environment or within a corporate business intelligence role
  • Ability to work in our Boston office 2 times/week (Tuesday, Wednesday)
  • Demonstrated experience in analysis and insight development in the following fields:
    • Marketing contribution (to business performance, quantitative attribution methods)
    • Performance forecasting, benchmarking, and modeling
    • Paid/owned/earned channel analysis (holistic analysis encompassing all media channels)
    • Interactive experience analytics (ability to analyze all consumer touch points across an ecosystem)
    • Research and testing (understanding of market research principles and test design/execution/analysis)
  • High level of comfort with data translation, successfully organizing, blending, and transforming disparate data sets into a cohesive database structure

 

Key Technology experience:

  • Ad-serving platforms (Google Campaign Manager/Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, Kenshoo, Marin, Google Ads, etc.)
  • Web & business analytics solutions (Google Analytics, Adobe Marketing Suite, etc.)
  • Data visualization and analysis software (Tableau, PowerBI, Google Data Studio, etc.)
  • Social and audience intelligence tools (Talkwalker, Meltwater, Sprinklr, etc.)
  • Business application tools (Google Sheets/Docs/Forms/Slides, Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Database translation and pipeline tools (BigQuery, MS SQL Server, Funnel, etc.)
  • Statistical analysis tools (R, Python, SPSS, etc.)
