One of our media planners, Katelyn lost her engagement ring on the train to work yesterday. After a flurry of tweets and Facebook posts and a frantic call to the MBTA, the station's train master announced a search for the ring, and within the hour, the family heirloom was returned. We are proud, and honored, to have been named a finalist in two categories for PR News' Platinum PR Awards. Our work with the Breeders’ Cup World Championships and Pinehurst Resort was recognized in the marketing communications and influencer communications categories, respectively. The Red Sox Foundation and Mass General Hospital held its 2nd annual Run to Home Base on 5/22. The 9K raises funds for the Home Base Program, which helps New England service members and their families dealing with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Traumatic Brain Injuries. The race starts and ends at Fenway Park, with runners crossing home plate in front of the iconic Green Monster.

CTP secured onsite media coverage that included interviews with Chairman of the Boston Red Sox Tom Werner, Senator Scott Brown, Lt. General John Kelly and several of the 2000+ participants (a mix of veterans, active duty soldiers, and family members) as well as two features on Boston's FOX 25 Morning show and WCVB.

In addition to promoting Pinehurst as a bucket list golf course, CTP works to raise Pinehurst Resort's profile as a travel destination. Charlotte is an influential market in the Carolina region where Pinehurst receives a significant amount of business, so in our targeted regional outreach that's where we began. In its June issue, Charlotte Magazine featured the Spa at Pinehurst, the restoration of No. 2 and breakfast at The Carolina Room in a travel article on the Pinehurst and Southern Pines area. The article, with 5 color photos, focused on Pinehurst Resort for three of its seven recommendations.
