Curling Championships

In the US, curling is not known as much more than an obscure hobby.  When the 2006 World Men's Curling Championships, a world-class international sporting event, came to Boston, our mission was to raise awareness for the event and to drive attendance - in a market with a competitive sports landscape and where the sport was virtually unheard of. Coming out of the 2006 Winter Olympic Games, capitalizing on the momentum from a US men's bronze medal win, we implemented a strategic public relations campaign to generate buzz for the event, educate the public and media on the sport and drive attendance that was supported by print and TV advertising that assimilated iconic New England imagery with images of curling.
